Class C Switching Surge Protection Devices are more refined protection devices designed specifically to protect the sensitive equipment’s against damaging switching surges. The unwanted power surges are basically spikes in voltage which are very brief, usually lasting millionths of a second.

Surges can fluctuate in duration and magnitude, rising and falling from a few hundred volts to several thousand volts.
